The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the International Foundation for Research and Education on Hope (iFred).  The terms “website, “or “site” refers to www.ifred.org. The terms “user,” “you,” and “your,” refers to a website visitor and/or user.

What we do

We, the International Foundation for Research and Education on Hope(iFred, a 501(c)3 organization, is working to teach hope. iFred has worked to shine a positive light on mental health and eliminate stigma through prevention, research and education and created a shift in society’s negative perception of the disease through positive imagery, rebranding, celebrity engagement, cause marketing campaigns, and establishing the sunflower and color yellow as the international symbols for hope. When you visit our website or become part of our subscribers, followers, or supporters, you’ll have access to all information about our materials, contents, research, and projects.

International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression or iFred Name, Copyright & Intellectual Property

We own all right, title and interest in and to the name “International Foundation for Research and Education on Hope” or “iFred” and its associated materials, artworks, curriculums, workbooks, resources, research, and projects. You agree that all goodwill associated with your use of the name and materials of “International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression” or “iFred” will inure to the benefit of the “International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression” or “iFred” non-profit organization.  You agree to use the name “International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression” or “iFred” solely in accordance with our instructions. You agree that you will not make “International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression” or “iFred” part of the name of a website or social media site without our prior written permission. You cannot use the name “International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression” or “iFred” to collect donations or raise funds for your own benefit.

Donations

Donations made through iFred are complete and final charitable gifts to the foundation and are not refundable. iFred is a tax-exempt public charity described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

iFred, a 501(c)3 organization, is working to teach hope, shine a positive light on mental health, and end the stigma around mental illness. iFred has started a number of programs to activate hope around the world, Including: 

• Hopeful Minds®, recognized as an innovation by the World Bank, are free curriculums to equip students, teachers, and parents with the tools they need to define, learn, and grow Hopeful Minds. The Hopeful Minds curriculums and resources free for download at www.hopefulminds.org. 
• Hopeful Cities© is equipping cities around the world with the tools they need to create, maintain, and grow hope, citywide. Activate hope in your community with the free Hopeful Cities Playbook at www.hopefulcities.org
• The Five-Day Global Hope Challenge is a daily challenge that introduces the Five Keys to SHINE Hope, for activation with governments, workplaces, schools, and more. You can learn more or sign up today at www.globalhopechallenge.com

With your help, we can continue to grow these programs and spread hope even further. 

Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of iFred. 

iFred will provide acknowledgments to donors on our gratitude wall, social media, and newsletters.

iFred will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, iFred will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.

iFred will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders’ fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the iFred.

By donating to iFred you agree to subscribe to our newsletters list so we can send you updates about the projects of iFred. You can opt out or unsubscribe anytime.

Site Ownership and License to videos, audio, photographs, graphic designs, curriculum, workbooks, research and projects

We own all right, title and interest in and to the content on the website, including, but not limited to text, photographs, illustrations, images, designs, graphics, videos, audio, curriculums, workbooks, research, projects, any and all derivative works or enhancements of the content. Use of this website does not grant you any right or interest in the website or the content.  If you provide us with photographs (e.g. a picture of the iFred projects in your community or school), you grant us a right to reproduce and publish that photograph on our site, newsletters, blogs, and our social media accounts.

The materials listed on this website are designed to assist you in learning about hope. Controlling law & Jurisdiction 

This Agreement is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Nevada without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions.  The courts of Nevada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising hereunder and you hereby consent to said jurisdiction and waive any right you may have to object to said jurisdiction.
