iFred's primary purpose is to Bring Depression Hope. iFred brings energy and information together from a variety of existing sources to educate, inform and change the way we look at depression today. 

We need to foster an environment where people feel comfortable getting help, they feel good about openly celebrating an individual’s ability to recover from a depressive episode, and support and applaud them in moving forward in a battle similar to that of any other illness.

iFred was started by Kathryn Goetzke when she was looking for a nonprofit to donate part of the proceeds to from the Mood-lites product line she was about to launch.  Read more...

Alan J. Gelenberg, M.D. is President and CEO of Healthcare Technology Systems of Madison, WI, which creates software to enhance patient care and clinical research in Psychiatry and related areas. Since 1987 Dr. Gelenberg has been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, his specialty痴 most widely read peer-reviewed journal. He is founding author of Biological Therapies in Psychiatry Newsletter, in its 32nd year. For 18 years, he was Professor and Head of the University of Arizona痴 Department of Psychiatry, where he remains Professor Emeritus, and is currently Clinical Professor at the University of Wisconsin. The Department now services all four hospitals of the NorthShore HealthSystem, with expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, chemical dependency, eating disorders, adolescent psychiatry, community psychiatry, medical psychiatry and neuropsychology.

We lost Paul in late 2009 after a long battle with cancer.  He was an esteemed member of our advisory board and we miss him dearly.  We are very fortunate to have had him serve as an advisor for many years.
